Activities

The exhibition units of the Museum are spread over four levels:
  • On the ground floor, findings from the sanctuaries and the settlement that developed on the slopes of the Acropolis are presented, covering all historical periods.

  • On the first floor, in a circular course, almost the entire history of the cliff top is revealed, from the 2nd millennium BC to the end of antiquity.

  • On the third floor, the sculptural decoration of the Parthenon, the largest temple of the Acropolis, is exhibited.

  • At the base of the building, the ruins of the ancient Athenian quarter, revealed by the archaeological excavation, stretch out.

Activities for children:
  • Three bodies, how many colors? Print the three-body demon as many times as you wish and let your imagination create unique works of art using one of the Museum's most important exhibits.

  • Digital memory games for all ages, digital board games, video games about Ancient Greece and the Acropolis.

  • The donated pomegranate. Draw it, color it, decorate it and give it to your loved ones to remember you forever!

  • Ancient Flavors! Gingerbread. Did you know that the ancient Greeks used honey exclusively as a sweetener in their diet? Sugar had not yet been discovered. So if you want to take a break from sugar but have a sweet tooth, don't hesitate for a minute!

  • Horsemen on a highway... Make the frieze now! Build a part of the Parthenon frieze.
