What AlphaMa does

  • Maps your mental load. A load map shows what is weighing on you and what is heaviest right now.
  • Turns loops into a Workbook. Name each open loop, then hand it to your partner or to AlphaMa.
  • Captures by voice. Tap the microphone and talk while nursing, cooking or lying awake. AlphaMa listens, answers in voice, and captures tasks and worries you mention.
  • Plans your day. Connect Gmail and Google Calendar and see your personal and professional day laid out together.
  • Covers all areas of life. Think through career, kids and your relationship with your partner in one place.
  • Checks in on you. A "You" space with daily mood, body and mind check-ins.
  • Remembers. It keeps track of your family, schedule and preferences over time.

Working with your partner

Family features let you link a partner for task delegation by text message, shared calendars and fair-division suggestions. Private conversations stay separate. The partner space shows what is on each plate, what got handed off and how things feel between you, so you both look at the same picture.

Pregnancy and postpartum

  • Pregnancy: helps carry the planning load (appointments, lists, preparation) and gives you somewhere to talk through worries at any hour.
  • Postpartum: emotional support at any hour, including 2am and 3am. It tracks sleep and symptoms you can share with your doctor, helps name what you are feeling, and moves chores to your partner or outsourced services.
  • Important: AlphaMa complements professional care and does not replace it. If you are in a mental health crisis, contact a healthcare professional or crisis helpline.

What is the mental load?

The mental load is the invisible cognitive and emotional work of running a household and family: remembering, planning, coordinating and anticipating for everyone. AlphaMa's aim is to make that work visible so it can be shared.
