A young boy, wearing black-rimmed glasses and a light blue collared shirt, is focused on assembling a white robotic or electronic device. He holds a component with visible screws and a blue and yellow servo motor, connected by orange and brown wires. To his right, a partially visible blue and white robot with yellow accents adds context to the STEM activity. The background is softly blurred, suggesting an indoor educational setting like a classroom or workshop. The scene highlights hands-on learning and engagement with robotics and technology.

CODING A STORY PROGRAMMING SCHOOL FOR CHILDREN

Coding & Robotics School | Zürich & Zug | Ages 4–15

Ages 4 to 15 | Zürich & Zug | English & German | Max 6–8 kids per class | Holiday camps available

ABOUT

Coding a Story is not a screen-in-front-of-every-child school. For the youngest learners, 60% of class time is completely screen-free: children use robots, logical games, and original hands-on materials to discover programming concepts through movement and play. Older children graduate naturally into writing real code in languages used by professional developers worldwide. Small group sizes mean Liana can adapt every session to each child's pace and curiosity.

Founded and led by Liana Vinersan, a software engineer and parent who brings professional expertise and genuine warmth to every class.

WEEKLY CLASSES

Ages 4–7: Coding, Robotics & Computational Thinking

Algorithms, loops, and logical thinking introduced through stories, movement, and robots. No screen required! Children who can already read start experimenting with simple code.

Schedule: Wednesdays at 1:30 PM, Saturdays in Zug. Bilingual (EN & DE).

Ages 7–12: Robots, Games & Animations

Children build their own games and animations using STEM tools and beginner coding environments. A natural bridge between playful exploration and real programming logic.

Schedule: Wednesdays at 2:30 PM, Fridays also available. Bilingual (EN & DE).

Ages 12–15: Real Programming (Python, C#, JavaScript)

Teenagers learn languages used by companies like Google, YouTube, and Spotify. Projects are practical and portfolio-worthy. No prior experience needed to start.

Schedule: Wednesdays at 4:20 PM. Bilingual (EN & DE).

HOLIDAY CAMPS

Coding & Theater Camp

Where storytelling meets programming. Children create characters, write scenes, and then bring their stories to life through code and interactive projects.

When: October school holidays. Ages 5–12. Location: Zürich, Tödistrasse 48.

Coding & Animation Camp ("From Sketch to Screen")

Kids draw their own characters by hand or on tablet, then animate them through code into short interactive stories. Led by Liana (coding) and guest creative director Chris Solarski (character design).

When: July (summer). Ages 5–12. Location: Zürich, Tödistrasse 48.

Coding & Cooking Camp ("Two Essential Life Skills")

When: February and Spring holidays. Ages 5–12. Hours: 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

Drone Programming Camp

Children aged 8–11 learn the basics of programming by controlling a real drone with code. A 3-session intensive over 3 consecutive days with a maximum of 6 children.
