English Kids Club in Zollikon

General Description

Where the love of reading and writing comes alive! Learning to read can be a challenge for children and frustrating for parents, but it doesn’t have to be! With my lessons, children will quickly start reading. Each session is designed to ensure that kids enjoy discovering their own love for learning the beauty of letters and their meaning in the world. Reading comes to life through stories, rhymes, songs, chants, movement, and games! The primary goal of the English Club is to provide a fun and engaging environment where kids can learn English through exciting activities. Children are given a learning experience that boosts their confidence in speaking, reading, and writing English. Alongside language skills, they will also explore science, arts and crafts, games, music, and movement!

Activities

English Kids Club in Zollikon contains : 

• Love of learning, 

• Joy of phonics,

• Empathy, mindfulness, and kindness,

• Independence and resilience,

• Ages: 4-8 years,

• Thursdays from 14:00-18:30,

• Duration : 3 hours.

Phonics I contains : 

• Students will learn letter sounds and formation from A-Z, recognize beginning sounds in words, and start blending and segmenting (VC & CVC). They will also practice decoding and reading a select number of high-frequency words. This program is recommended for children aged 4-5, Duration 1 hour,

Phonics II contains : 

• Children between the ages of 5-8 years old,

• Students are introduced to blending with adjacent consonants, expanding their skills to blend and segment beyond CCVC and CVCC patterns, and are introduced to the concept of long vowels.
