The Benaki Toy Museum, based on the unique collection of Maria Argyriadis, which is among the top ten in Europe, presents toys, books, printed matter, clothes and objects from the childhood of children from all over the world. The museum opened its doors to the public on 21 October 2017. Throughout the year, the Benaki Museum implements creative activities for children and their families in its permanent collections and selected temporary exhibitions. Unique tours of the world of toys take place through a series of guided tours conducted by the Museum's curators, Mary Vergo and Nora Hatzopoulou.
The Museum's collections include 20,000 toys and children's objects from Greece and the wider region of Hellenism, covering the period from antiquity to the 1970s, as well as objects from Europe, America, Africa and countries of the East.

Participation in the guided tours is subject to a €3 charge (€12, €10) on the museum ticket.
