Overview

If your child is between two languages, or you'd simply like the Herbstferien to double as a language boost, friLingue has been running camps in the Swiss Alps for 19 years. Kids study French, German, or English in small morning classes of around 6 students, then spend afternoons on activities, excursions, sport, or creative projects with an international group of teachers and volunteers. Camps run in Liddes/St. Bernard in Valais and in Braunwald in Glarus, both classic Alpine settings.

Families choose from a straight language course, or a combined format: adventure, tennis, maths, leadership, or creative arts alongside the language lessons. Accommodation is dorm-style (4- to 8-bed rooms) or, for some camps, a host family twin room.
