Melina Murray, an American violinist and mandolinist, is currently based in Zürich, Switzerland. She serves as the first violinist of the Limmat Quartet and conducts both the Mandolin Orchestra Zürich and the Mandolin Orchestra Baar. In addition to her performance roles, she teaches violin and mandolin at her private studio, Musikstudio Kreis Vier. A graduate of the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) in Violin Pedagogy, Melina Murray offers personalized private lessons in the Zurich and Leimental areas. She teaches violin, baroque violin, and mandolin, blending both historical and contemporary styles of interpretation and technique. With extensive performance experience in a wide range of classical orchestras, quartets, and even bands, Melina brings a wealth of musical knowledge to her student-focused teaching approach.
Her studio currently serves both children and adults, and she organizes a biannual class recital at the Bullingerkirche in Zürich, providing her students with a valuable performance opportunity.
