On SSB, traveling by train with children offers a wide range of experiences.

Depending on the train you choose, there is a playground on wheels, a bistro or a restaurant to go to.

What you can always do: look out the window, chat, play games, eat and drink.

For sure, the young travelers will be free to play and move around on the train! They can also discover exciting adventure trips.

All InterCity long-distance double-deck trains include a family coach.

The family coach play area is located on the upper deck of the driving coach and can be recognised from a distance thanks to its jungle and dragon-themed motifs.

Trains with family coaches run mainly on the following InterCity routes:

IC1: St. Gallen–Zurich HB–Bern–Geneva Airport

IC8: Romanshorn–Zurich HB–Bern–Brig

IC6: Basel SBB–Bern–Brig

IC61: Basel SBB–Bern–Interlaken Ost

IC3: Basel SBB–Zurich HB–Chur

On the lower deck of the IC2000, you will find enough space to stow pushchairs, luggage or bikes.

• A playground on rails with a family coach.
• Take your children on an auditory journey and listen to magical fairy tales together.
• At larger stations, you can also get items specially designed for children, such as stuffed animals, children’s bodysuits and more, at ticket counters. Of course, you can also buy all items online.
• A number of tables next to the upstairs playground area are fitted with the exciting board games "Jungle Hunt" and "The Snake Game".
