Finance4Kids Financial Literacy Camps & Courses for Children

Holiday camps, Wednesday afternoon courses & financial education for kids · Zurich.

Finance4Kids was founded to teach children financial education with playful, age-appropriate methods.  Role-play, games, and real-life challenges teach children how to think about it.

Finance4Kids is part of Finance4Life, a Swiss educational institute for financial literacy, founded by Dr. Bea Johner, also the founder of the highly successful Chess4Kids academy, where hundreds of children learned strategic thinking through chess.

The same learning philosophy now drives Finance4Kids, complex topics made engaging, memorable, and genuinely useful for real life.

Who is this for

  • Primary school children in grades 4–6 (approx. ages 9–12)
  • Secondary school students in years 1–3 (approx. ages 12–15)
  • Parents who want their child to develop financial confidence and independence early
  • Families looking for a meaningful, educational holiday camp option in Zurich
  • Schools, holiday programmes, and project weeks looking for a structured partner (Finance4Kids is aligned with the Swiss curriculum)

A full week of financial education and afternoon outdoor activity. Mornings are dedicated to age-appropriate financial learning through games, challenges, and hands-on projects. Afternoons are for movement, fresh air, and making new friends.

The camp is structured so children gradually build knowledge across the week, ending with a clear, practical understanding of how money works in everyday life.

What children learn across the week:

  • What money actually is, where it comes from, and how it has evolved over time
  • The difference between needs and wants, and how to make smart spending choices
  • How to set up a simple budget and understand their pocket money
  • Everyday money situations: spending, saving, dealing with advertising, and planning ahead
  • How banks work, what digital payments mean, and how financial skills connect to their own goals
