Activities

Chess4Kids Kusnacht offers a range of activities designed to spark children's interest in chess and enhance their skills :

Weekly Courses

The cost for one child is 700.00 CHF per semester. If a child begins mid-semester, the course fee is adjusted by deducting 30 CHF for each week missed since the semester started. The semesters follow the local cantonal school calendar: the winter semester starts after the summer holidays and runs until the sports holidays, while the summer semester begins after the sports holidays and continues until the summer holidays. Each semester includes one weekly lesson in a small group with children of similar age and skill level, and all learning materials are provided. Families enjoy a 20% discount on lessons for the second and subsequent children. Additionally, for each friend referred who registers for a semester course within the same semester, you’ll receive a 30 CHF voucher for your next course. Please note that lessons are not held during school holidays.

Online Courses

Online lessons are available Monday to Saturday, arranged with the course instructor. Using tools like Zoom and Skype, along with platforms such as Chessmatec, Chess4Kids creates an interactive and effective learning experience. Each session lasts 45-50 minutes, with timing based on the child’s age and chess level. Lessons are conducted in small groups by professional chess instructors, ensuring high-quality teaching. These courses cater to all levels, from beginners to advanced players, and regular tournaments are organized for children to display and improve their skills. The price is 500.00 CHF per semester, which includes one lesson per week in a small group with children of similar age and skill level. Siblings receive a 20% discount starting with the second child. If a child starts mid-semester, the course fee is reduced by 25.00 CHF for each completed lesson. For private lessons, monthly invoices are issued at the end of each month.
