General Description

The Hellenic Yacht Club of Greece, remaining faithful to its long tradition, continues unhindered the operation of the sailing school for children. The training of youngsters in sailing was and remains the top priority of the schools, as it is through these children that the future athletes of the Club will emerge. The Kids Sailing Center is aimed at children aged 5-12 years old, whether they are just starting sailing or already have some experience, with the only requirement being basic swimming knowledge. The main goal of the school is to teach basic concepts of sailing and seamanship, preparing children for their next steps, whether they are competitive or not. The school offers continuous training, allowing children to join at any time they wish.

Classes are held every Saturday and Sunday in the following groups:

10:00-12:00, 12:00-14:00.

The cost is 70 Euro/month and for families with more members in the group's Sports Schools the cost is 60 Euro/month.

Activities

The Hellenic Yacht Club of Greece offers courses for children: 

• Kids Sailing Center : Optimist type boats are mainly used for the training, while other types of boats are added on a case by case basis, in order to cover different body types. In this way, children develop sailing more directly and with more fun, developing a love for the sport and remaining in sailing for the rest of their lives,
• Swimming Lessons : Essential to prepare and keep children safe at sea, swimming lessons teach basic techniques needed for water sports and build children's confidence in the water.

The top floor of the Nautical Club of Greece is available for mass events for Members and their friends. This area includes the "Naval Battles A & B" rooms, which can accommodate up to 200 people in a seated arrangement, and the "Winds" room, with a seating capacity of 165 people. During the summer months, the "Wind Hall" is connected to its balcony, forming an open space that can accommodate up to 220 seated persons.
