The Byzantine and Christian Museum, located in Athens, is one of the national museums of Greece and is among the most important museums worldwide for the art and culture of the Byzantine and post-Byzantine periods. It has more than 25,000 objects, organized in various collections, dating from the 3rd to the 20th century, mainly from the wider Greek, Asia Minor and Balkan areas. All objects dating from the 3rd to the 21st century AD include: icons, frescoes, mosaics, mosaics, palaeotypes, manuscripts, paper objects, sculptures, sculptures, small crafts, ceramics, textiles, paintings and copies.
