The PBZ Pestalozzi Library is dedicated to fostering a love for language, books, and other media in children, promoting reading, and supporting language development. The Family Literacy program, designed for families with a migration background, offers reading activities that allow stories and books to be explored in one's native language. Additionally, the PBZ provides children with opportunities to engage with new technologies, helping them to overcome any hesitations. Both parents and children receive guidance in navigating different media formats, with an emphasis on developing essential media literacy skills.

KinderTREFF: This children's program offers three series tailored to different age groups, with free events lasting between 30 and 60 minutes. Highlights include "Knee Rhymes and Finger Games" for parents with toddlers aged 9 to 24 months, and "Sharing Stories Together" for parents with toddlers aged 2 to 3 years. These sessions are led by reading animators,
Exploring New Technologies: On select afternoons, children aged 8 to 12 can engage in hands-on activities such as exploring games, programming, and using VR glasses. Under staff supervision, they can experiment with various technologies.

The library offers a wide selection of children's books to suit all preferences. There are also cozy reading areas with newspapers, magazines, desks, internet stations, photocopiers, children's chairs, armchairs, sofas, and soft toys.
