Welcome to the Thurauen Nature Centre—the gateway to the largest alluvial landscape on the Swiss plateau! Learn about the Thurauen and their renaturation, explore the reserve's most scenic spots with them, or discover this unique alluvial landscape through our exhibition. Also, the nature center provides a range of engaging and educational activities for the whole family, with a special focus on children. The interactive exhibition and adventure trail are designed for kids aged 3 and up. Additionally, swimming in the Rhine and Thur rivers is available. Furthermore, you can also plan your child's birthday at the nature center, making it a memorable event! At the shop/kiosk of the Rübis & Stübis restaurant next to the nature center, you can purchase provisions, snacks, and ice creams.

Winter strategies : Discover traces of winter-active animals and learn about their different winter strategies,
For schools: 24h-Thurauen : Spend 24 hours in the Thurauen with grades 4 through 6: explore the floodplain forest at night, investigate pond animals, and camp out in a tent,
For schools: Working as climate researchers : By observing, exploring, and measuring our environment, we seek to find answers to questions and develop solutions for the future,
For schools: At night with the beavers : Experience dusk in the beaver's habitat, where, with a bit of luck, we might catch a glimpse of these elusive rodents or other nocturnal animals,
