Educational Programs on ceramics

Our educational programs aim to introduce students to all aspects of the ancient art of ceramics, as well as to familiarize them with the museum environment. They are designed in accordance with the curriculum and are adapted according to the age of the children.

The content of the programmes covers the history of ceramic art from antiquity to the present day and is linked to Greek mythology and folk tradition. Using visual materials and educational tools, such as experiential games and the active participation of pupils, the programmes highlight different aspects of the ceramic tradition.

Ceramics Workshops for Children

The museum organizes permanent ceramics workshops for children aged 5-12 years old.

These workshops aim to enhance children's creativity, imagination and compositional skills. The amorphous clay comes to life in their hands, taking shape and volume, while they are inspired by themes from antiquity, folk tradition, art history and more.

During the workshops, the children become familiar with basic techniques for making, decorating, glazing and firing their ceramics. The thematic units of the workshops are constantly renewed, and early registration is required for participation by calling 210-3318491.

Summer Camp

The program is addressed to children 6-12 years old. Participation fee:

1st week 100,00 euro, 2nd week 120,00 euro. The Museum's Summer Camp gives the opportunity to its young friends to use their free time of their summer holidays in a pleasant and creative way through their contact with the museum environment.
