St. Annahof Märlitram

A magical experience:

In 2024, the beloved Jelmoli Märlitram took its final journey through the streets of Zurich, with Santa Claus and two angels on board. For many children, this special ride is an essential part of the Advent season, much like the ornaments on the Christmas tree.

For Christmas 2025 Coop took over the management of this tradition and renamed the experience St. Annahof Märlitram.

The approximately 20-minute ride begins at Bellevue and travels via Limmatquai and Central to Bahnhofstrasse before returning to Bellevue. Santa Claus himself will be driving the tram, accompanied by two charming angels who will tell Christmas stories and sing carols with the little passengers. Upon returning to Bellevue, the children will receive a traditional Tirggel treat before being reunited with their parents.

Ride Schedule:

From November 21 to December 23, 2025, except November 30 and December 14, 2025 Monday to Friday: 1:25 PM – 6:50 PM Saturday and Sunday: from 12:10 PM

Departure Location: Bellevue, every 25 minutes

Eligibility: For children aged 4 to 9 Duration: approx. 20 minutes Cost: CHF 12 per child

Tickets can be purchased online here and picked-up at one of the Coop City stores in St. Annahof, Bellevue, Sihlcity, Oerlikon, or at the Tourist Information at Zurich Main Station.
